The HAPPY OYSTER COMPANY emerged from Bart’s, at the time better known as Bikeman/BikemanforU, growing interest in learning and volunteering in Aquaculture (water farming) here on Eastern Long Island.
As life happens, and as his enthusiasm for all things “OYSTERS” exploded, at 52 years old, he decided to switch careers. He closed his 42-year successful landmark business, Bike ‘n Kite, in Westhampton Beach, and went all-in to become an Oyster Farmer. In 2018, the HAPPY OYSTER COMPANY LLC was born.
